Lime Tree Branches Out

Our client Lime Tree Healthcare has added a third pharmacy to its group, with Ogg & Company in Ayr’s Newmarket Street, one of the town’s oldest businesses. Over the summer we worked closely with our client developing a new brand for Oggs, creating a website with an online shop and VIP Club, managing an advertising schedule and designing various marketing and promotional items. We also helped with PR for the official launch with the Provost, issuing press releases and organising photocalls. We’re currently working with Lime Tree on an advertising campaign for Oggs to run until Christmas, as well as continuing to promote their other two pharmacies in Alloway and Kiwinning’s Townhead.

Window Shopping

As creatives we love a ‘blank canvas’ and so we were delighted when town centre regeneration company Ayr Renaissance asked us to ‘show what Ayr has to offer’ in the large empty shop windows on New Bridge Street. Having lain empty for years, the former MFI showroom had become a bit of an eyesore and so we seized the opportunity to transform the shop windows from ‘empty to plenty’ and effectively promote our home town. Focusing on key tourism themes, including leisure, food and drink, Burns, golf, countryside and culture, we created a highly attractive and impactful large format photographic display to showcase Ayr on this busy route in and out of town.

Atrium steps aboard

We are delighted to be working with leading housing association Atrium Homes. The Kilmarnock based organisation which operates in nine towns across East Ayrshire has appointed the Ocean team to create a series of publications, including its Annual Report, Tenants’ Pack and Newsletter, as well as updating its branding. In addition, the team will be undertaking a full branding exercise for subsidiary company Atrium Initiatives.

Rebrand works for edgar

There’s nothing we love to hear more than our clients winning new business. And demonstrating that creative marketing resources really do help deliver results, is Edgar Property Solutions. The Glasgow based property specialist came to us for help in rebranding and marketing the company. We developed a crisp new brand to reflect the brand essence of knowledge, confidence and trust. Creating stunning brochures for services for both tenants and landlords, we also produced a series of case study inserts and developed a new website. Director Martin Edgar quickly got to work using and promoting his new resources, resulting in significant business wins. We are currently working with Martin to produce additional resources for his other work within the surveying profession.

New site maps the way for client

After months of hard work, we’re delighted that the innovative site which we created for sister companies Dustacco Engineering and Watermiser has received a fantastic response from both our clients and their customers. Taking a completely different approach to the combined home page for both companies, we created a full screen ‘city’ illustration to show the numerous sectors the companies work in. This quickly directs users to the service they’re interested in, and then presents several case studies in that field, along with a clear call to action to drive enquiries. Writing and collating all the web copy for our client, we built the site in WordPress to make it simple for them to carry out their own ongoing content management.

Ocean finds new pad

Yes, after many years of running up and (sometimes falling) down the stairs between the four different rooms in our Cathcart Street premises, we’ve finally all moved in together. Ocean has relocated across the road to The Old Firemaster’s House on the Sandgate (just above the Newbrig News). Our fab new pad includes a large open plan studio, big enough to house the whole team, and much better facilities for clients too. Our phone number has had to change to 01292 267488, so give us a call and come and see us soon!

Growing Business

Over one hundred business leaders from across Ayrshire assembled at the Burns Museum in Alloway in anticipation of the launch of William Duncan & Co’s new brand, brochures and website created by the Ocean team. The ‘Growing Business’ event, hosted by the firm’s Partners and including a presentation on branding by our very own Derek, proved to be a highly successful evening, with the marketing resources being extremely well received by all. The project had involved the talents of the whole Ocean team, including strategic marketing, copywriting, design and web development. Work on an innovative referral scheme for the firm will begin next as part of an ongoing marketing strategy.

Cameras roll at Craufurdland

It was an exciting moment in the middle of an already lively client meeting when the producer of Country House Rescue called to confirm Craufurdland Castle would be featuring in the next series of the top Channel 4 show. Cameras have already started rolling at the Craufurdland Estate near Fenwick as they prepare to officially launch into the Ayrshire tourist market. Ocean has been guiding Craufurdland every step of the way, creating their brand, carrying out extensive market research and developing strategic marketing plans for their fishing, mountain biking and tourism products. Next up we’ll be copywriting and designing all of Craufurdland’s marketing resources and website.

A winning season

Hot on the heels of a direct mail campaign for new client win, Energy Agency, Ocean has secured a huge amount of new business from several more clients. Chartered Accountancy firm William Duncan & Co, engineering company Dustacco and water cooling system producers Watermiser have all appointed Ocean to undertake large scale marketing and design projects, including branding, corporate brochures and new websites for each.

“Great chieftain o’ the puddin-race!”

It was pats on the back all round when, after an extensive pitch, we got the news we had won the account for Galston based Grant’s Foods, Scotland’s leading manufacturer of haggis and quality meat products. Starting off by creating a micro-site for ‘Haggis for Heroes’, the team will begin work on a major new website for the company early in the spring of 2012.
